The joint venture company CYUNITIYUKOU SHOUKAI CO.,LTD. was established in China in order to be able to respond to the many requests being received and started contract manufacturing and importing of men’s clothing, work clothes, slacks, etc. in addition to the manufacturing of towels.

Chugai Joint Stock Junmo Co., Ltd. established

Established a production plant for uniforms and shirts for government use in China as a joint venture with the Beijing government.

Chugai Joint Stock Changshu Changyu Industry Co., Ltd. established

Due to its familiarity with China and Japan, was requested by a Chinese state-owned company and created a joint venture between China and Japan. Commenced the manufacturing, importing, and sales of unagi kabayaki.

Established in-house plant for the manufacturing of unagi kabayaki.

FUJIAN CCIC-FAIRREACH FOOD SAFETY TESTING CO.,LTD. established

Jointly established a food inspection facility with the Chinese government organization CCIC, to operate as a bridge for food safety between China and Japan.
In order to clarify food safety standards and inspection methods used between Japan and China, shared information and human resources working with the Japan Foods Inspection Corporation.

Shanghai – CHINA

SHANGHAI HUYOU INT’L TRADE CO.,LTD. established

With a view to selling in mainland China, undertook production management at factories and import/export between China and Japan.

Qingdao, Shandong – CHINA

Shandong Yongyu Food Co., Ltd. established

In response to changes in Japanese work styles, such as the increase in double-income families, targeted the enhancement of it frozen food lines, which are in demand for the simplicity they offer, and established a frozen food processing factory.

Iwata, Fujian – CHINA

Fujian Iwata Kinki Feed Co., Ltd. established

In the pursuit of safer foods, a joint venture was established to develop and manufacture EP feed and pellet feed for eel, sea bream, etc.

Karika Mei Drink Management (Beijing) Co., Ltd. established

In a joint investment with Kagome Co., Ltd., developed a cafeteria for IT park enterprises, the Chinese version of SOHO. Served meals with the aim of closer communication with consumers about Japanese food culture and its safety and security.

CHUNICHI U.S.A. INC. established

With the expansion of Japanese food in the US market, demand for unagi koabayaki also rapidly increased. In response to strong requests from business partners resident in the US, was established in order to provide unagi kabayaki made using Japan-raised eel with a view to fully-fledged participation in the US market.

Established as base for Asia to expand Japanese cuisine in East and Southeast Asia.

At the request of the local county government, plans to start operation of fully self-funded processing plant in Qingliu County, an aquafarming environment that is blessed with vast forests and clear and abundant water supplies.
